Hello

I  joined the Cavan Hills team in April 2008
My name is Dani Jamieson       and I was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario.
I hold an honours degree in biological sciences obtained at the University of Windsor
and bring with me nine years of experience working in veterinary hospitals in and around the Peterborough area.
As Hospital Supervisor it is my responsibility to oversee the various departments that are involved in the day to day running of Cavan Hills Veterinary Services.
I pledge to use my experience and expertise to promote a professionally responsible and dedicated clinic
that owners can rely upon to provide optimal care for their pets.

I currently share my home with two big siamese boys,
Norman and Boo, and a beautiful little tuxedo kitty, Stevie.

Please feel free to approach me at any time with concerns or suggestions.
I look forward to your participation in the maintenance and development of a focussed and responsive animal care facility.

Receptionist Supervisor

Jennifer Morgan

After graduating from St. Lawrence College in 2004 I began my career at Cavan Hills Veterinary Services.
Starting off as a veterinary assistant/barn worker I began to learn the clients and animals that help make up Cavan Hills Veterinary Services.

Going on my sixth year of employment at Cavan Hills, I have changed focus in my career goals and now strive in helping provide excellent client support/clinic relations.
Over the years I have befriended many of our cliental and their beloved furry family members
and come to work knowing I will be able to help one of them in some way no matter how minuet.

When I am not pouring my time into the clinic I am spending time with my son Brayden
We enjoy spending our free time as a family with our two Doberman Pinschers .
I am currently working on my goal of competing in the AAC with my female Doberman Nikita, who many of you remember as my little helper behind the reception desk.
All of our team members contribute to making this clinic continually surpass my expectations and I am honored to be a part of it.

I encourage any potential clients to drop by and see what makes us stand out.

Veterinary Assistant Supervisor

Dana Salahub

Hi my name is Dana

I grew up in a house that often seemed to double as a rescue.
Thus spawned my love for all animals; from epileptic dogs, to earless bunnies, to quirky cats, noisy birds,
rescued lab rats, and everything in between.
I feel connected to every animal I have met. And oh yeah, did I mention horses (clydesdales in particular)?
Since graduating from Trent University five years ago, I have led horse back tours
and cared for horses in Canada, Scotland, and England.
I am a registered Equine Massage Therapist and presently,
I am completing my Canine Massage certification.
I currently share my life with my border collie german shepherd cross, Raksi and husband Fraser.

Hi! My name is Katy Delorme

I am a Registered Veterinary Technician here at Cavan Hills.
My journey at Cavan Hills began back in Feb. of 2005, as a high school coop student, and I haven't left since!

I worked as a Veterinary Assistant/ Stable hand for a while, and than worked my way up to a Receptionist/ Technician Assistant. In Fall of 2006 I moved to Kingston to attend St. Lawrence College in the Veterinary Technologist program, and continued making my way back to Cavan to work weekends, holidays and summers...

I just couldn't get enough of it!

I graduated with honors in the spring of 2009 and have been working as a RVT since. I love all aspects of my job... working for and with such wonderful people makes going to work great, its like a second family here! I also enjoy educating and communicating  with our clients and most importantly, caring for and treating all of our "furry" patients on a daily basis.

Currently I share my life with my partner Ian, our 2 beautiful Boston Terriers, Ruby and Voodoo and our not so pleasant feline friend, Teagan..

whom I love just the same :)

        Hi! I'm Meredith

I have been working here at Cavan Hills since 1997, I started out doing my high school co-op here and after I graduated
I came and joined the team, full time in 1998.
I really can't imagine doing anything else with my life.   I love working with animals and
I love working with the people who own them too,
and making my co-workers laugh on a daily basis.

Well 2008-09 have proven to be a very busy & exciting year for me.
Aug 2008 after 1 solid year of planning, I married my long time sweetheart John.
Our wedding was everything we had hoped it would be.
We got married at my friends beautiful farm in Cavan and 100 of our closest friends and family were there to share our day with us.
In addition to getting married, John and I received a fantastic honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic as
a wedding gift from Dr. Maser and his Wife Laura.

On a sadder note in June 2008 I lost my doggie daughter "Sweetie" in her 14th year.
After a hard struggle and despite the valiant efforts of Dr. Maser and the entire Cavan Hills Staff, my Sweetie succumbed to cancer.
Currently I have 2 crazy cats that keep us laughing on a daily basis, and will no doubt have another doggie kid in the near future!

 CHVS  Veterinary Assistants

Lorelle McCauley

Hello!!

My name is Lorelle, and I really enjoy working at Cavan Hills!
I joined this team as a veterinary assistant/receptionist.  I love all animals, and have always had four-legged family members at home.
I currently have four dogs: Striker, Dolly (in picture), Maizie and Molly.

Frances Ford

Hello, my name is Frances

After numerous years as a client of Cavan Hills Vet Services, I started working here as a Vet Assistant in July '09, and I am loving it!

Over the years I have trusted the CHVS team to care for my dog, my competition horses, our 'Barn Ducks', and a variety of cats and guinea pigs, all of whom were precious family members.
As a Very Concerned Parent, I always dreaded the moment when my pet disappeared from view into the treatment room, and worried about what was going on.
Now that I have seen what goes on behind the scenes, I know that I have put my trust in the right people, and it is a privilege to be part of such a caring and professional team!

I currently share my life with my son, Alex, and my daughter, Natalie, (who also works for CHVS), along with our 3 cats, Kizmet, Folly and Panda, and a small herd of guinea pigs
(Rosie, Winnie, Quill, Tobasco, Abby & Rafiki).
Last year we moved from a horse farm to a much smaller property, so our horse,
Majique, no longer lives at home, but she is still a very important part of my life.

Stephanie McQuaid

Hi!!!
My name is Stephanie McQuaid       and I work at Cavan Hills.
I am currently in my fourth year at Trent University studying psychology and anthropology but my true passion lies with animals.
I've had pets ever since I can remember and I don't think my life would ever be fufilled without them.
Currently I have 3 cats (Frizbee, Linus, and Molly), a bunny (Delilah), and a horse (Trudi)
but hopefully I'll be able to add a few more additions in the near future.
In my spare time I have taken up photography and I enjoy taking photos of nature.

Nancy Sales

After many wonderful years as both a public school teacher and college professor it is a joy
to finally be working for the well being of animals.
Although Wesley is currently our only pet I have worked with animals all of my life from
family farms, showing and training horses, St Bernards to Pomeranians, cats and birds, guinea pigs and rats, salt & fresh water aquariums and terrariums.

Now as a veterinary receptionist /assistant, I cannot imagine a more satisfying way to spend time than learning
and caring with such a compassionate and knowledgeable team.
Theresa said it best, “we definitely pull together as such a great team and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Hay, I'm Tori

I have been working at the home farm since June 2007.
I love all of the horses at the barn and enjoy working with them. I also try
to take care of the birds that live in the barn. I have buried 2 and saved 2
so far. When I am not at work I love riding western and spending time with
my horse Cutter. He is a 16 yr old Buckskin Overo Paint. I love him to
death. I did have a dog but he passed away in March. He was Geman Sheperd X
named Zip and was very protective over me. I hope to have a dog like that
again someday soon.
